Here’s what 1248 lbs of dog food looks like. On this dog food run, we bought 24 bags, and each bag weighs 52 lbs. We go through a bag a day. So this is just a little more than a 3 week supply.
We buy retail, just like everyone else.
And we look for sales, just like everyone else.
A very good price is $20 each for each bag.
So, here’s the math: $20 x 24 bags = $480 for 24 day supply, or $20/day.
$20/day x 365 days = $7800/year.
