Gabe, a four year-old red brindle male, is this week’s “Greyhound of the Week”.

Gabe is very popular at the Adoption Center and it is very easy to see why: he is cool, calm and brimming with personality!  Walking Gabe around the property is always a treat because he exudes happiness and seems to enjoy his surroundings.  He is good with adults, kids, but not cats!  (See attached photo of young volunteer, Megan Creevy, cuddling with Gabe after a walk).  Gabe is eager to please and is the type of dog that will melt your heart with his expressive eyes and overall sweet demeanor!

Billy has a very calm and gentle demeanor and walks well on a leash. He loves to play with his toys, and with other dogs. This picture shows how beautiful his coloring is, as he was taking in the views of the countryside.  Billy was born 11/21/2005. Not cat-safe.

Royal Feather and Royal Flare are elegant and regal Greyhound sisters. They are also fun and  happy-go-lucky. Just like brothers Button and Bimbo, who were recently adopted together, these almost identical twin girls need to go to their forever home together. They have spent their whole lives together, they play together and they look out for each other. It would break their hearts (and ours!) to be separated upon adoption. Aren’t they gorgeous?! Flyboy, a handsome black male, is the picture of cool sophistication. He loves to play with his fellow retirees at the adoption center and walks beautifully on a leash. He is looking forward to meeting a new owner!

Hero, a stunning red male, is a true gentle giant. His warm, expressive eyes let you know what he is thinking. Hero has a long elegant tail that he loves to wag. He is a happy-go-lucky guy who is enjoying is new retirement life. What a sweetie.

Great news! Three beautiful greyhound females, who have grown up together, and were put up for adoption through no fault of their own, have been adopted together! Seven year old Missy, and her friends, Treat and Polly, both eight years old, are once again living a happy retirement life with their wonderful new Mom. Congratulations girls!

Stormy, a handsome 5 year old male, has been adopted! Not only has Stormy found the perfect forever home, but also is reunited with litter-mate / sister, Truth. We couldn’t be happier for Stormy and his new family.

Factura, a striking brindle female, has been adopted! She moved in with her beautiful, fawn, six year old brother, Sid, last week. She made her self right at home, and they have become fast friends. Factura’s new mom is thrilled to have a new addition to the family. Congratulations Factura!

Franny has been adopted!  She’s a sweet, dainty little four year old brindle female who will be living with Lizzie, another greyhound who was also adopted from RDRP not too long ago. Franny is an easy going, playful, well behaved greyhound and is deeply loved by her new family.

Apple, a pretty three year old black female, can work magic with her expressive eyes.  And magic has happened for Apple because she has been adopted! Apple now enjoys spending lots of time with her new mom. She has a fenced in yard for playing and several toys but her favorite pastime is following mom around the house. Life is happier for both Apple and Mom!
