Welcome to the Racing Dog Rescue Project!

The Racing Dog Rescue Project is an all volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing humane temporary care for Greyhounds no longer used for racing as well as finding appropriate adoptive homes. Thousands of retired racing Greyhounds are disposed of each year when their careers are over. Many of these dogs are very young, some only 18 months of age. They simply weren't fast enough for the track. Some owners genuinely care about their dogs and make an effort to find homes for them. Others view them as little more than running machines. When they can't produce, they're just one more mouth to feed.
